Many Changing Shadows

Released April 2021: "Many Changing Shadows" is a collection of songs originally written on acoustic guitar and meant to follow a ‘singer-songwriter’ feel, the songs were demoed and then, after being played live nightly for several weeks, rearranged and rerecorded. The recordings, which were straight forward guitars, bass, drums, and vocals, were stripped down and built back up using loops, field recordings, and digital instruments and mixed back in with some of the original instrumentation. This record stands away from other Dragonfly Pond releases thus far in production, arrangement, and the use of vocals. “Many Changing Shadows” is about changes, decisions, and opposites. The good, the optimistic, the bad, and the hopeless. The homeless and the comfortable, the hungry and the full, the lost and looking, loss and luck and religions’ hollow answers. A gray area between urban and rural, town and country, big city and small town. Closed in and wide open, nowhere to go and everywhere to be. Stuck in an echo chamber, a positive feedback loop and a negative reaction. A seemingly infinite end of a beginning of an end… Similar artists include Flying Saucer Attack, Disco Inferno, and A.R. Kane.
