Released June 2020, "Tidal River" is a collection of songs exploring the concept of “Maybe”, not “yes”, not “no”, not black or white but “gray”, not never or always, but “sometimes”. This is done by taking a ‘deep dive’ into the combined worlds of analog and digital. All parts were written and recorded on acoustic instruments with live mics through tube preamps, into a digital converter and into a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). Once recorded to the DAW the parts were digitally manipulated using various effects. Although the writing and recording technique differed greatly from “No Attachment to Dust”, the result has a similar feel and sound. Similar artists include Papa M, Jet Black Crayon, and Mogwai.
