Released Sept. 2026, “Sometimes Islands” started as an exploration of ambient music mixed with “found sounds” and field recordings, but slowly developed into more of an exploration of music built around found sounds and field recordings. The sounds include flies, pounding on furnace duct work, a creaking door, and a hike in the snow, among others. The music is built on the original ambient ideas or built as sound designs from the ground up, around the field recordings. I hope you find it interesting. Similar artists include Four Tet, Future Sound of London and SeeFeel.
